Tucked away on The Llanfendigaid Estate, Stable Cottage is a traditional Grade II listed Welsh cottage with beautiful interiors, two lovely bedrooms and a pretty outdoor space and enclosed garden. In the midst of Snowdonia National Park and within walking distance of the Welsh coastline, it’s ideal for those who love to be surrounded by countryside but also want to spend time close to the sea.

I have spent three nights in Stable Cottage and it was absolutely amazing. I needed few days to escape from my busy life. If you need to recharge and relax on your own, with a group of friends or family party, this place is perfect.

Recommended without hesitation
The cottage is beautiful and sympathetically updated. There is tech that makes the stay more comfortable (the instant boiling water tap, Netflix, wifi) but it is discrete. The cottage is lovely and warm anyway but having the log burner going really is cosy! I would definitely recommend the Llanfendigaid estate without hesitation.

An extremely high standard
Stable Cottage was perfect, a cosy wood burner, lots of old-world charm, a comfy, spacious bedroom, lovely bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen. You have lots of beautiful walks on your doorstep. It is great whether you are travelling with a dog, solo, with a family, or in a couple!

There’s a host of facilities to enjoy during your stay such as the luxury indoor heated swimming pool, an outdoor table tennis table and private woodland, as well as an abundance of adventures to be had in West Wales.
With lots of dog friendly places to explore nearby, canine companions will have a tail-wagging time accompanying you on your trip. Please read the dog policy in advance.
The highlight of Stable Cottage is the large open plan kitchen, living and dining area. It’s the perfect place to kick back and relax in. There’s a large sofa and an armchair, and a prime snoozing spot next to the cosy wood burning stove if you’re brining your four-legged friend with you. Chilled evenings are guaranteed whether you choose to put your feet up with a good book, watch the TV or indulge in a competitive board game or two. There is WiFi throughout the house.
When it comes to cooking, the cottage’s kitchen has warm wooden worktops and plenty of storage space. It’s fully equipped with all the essentials – a Smeg fridge freezer, microwave, electric range cooker, Quooker hot tap, state of the art Sage coffee machine and a dishwasher … no one wants to wash up on holiday! The round dining table comfortably seats four and makes for a cosy setting for convivial meals together.
Upstairs, the main bedroom is a generous double with two sweet window seats overlooking the garden. The second bedroom is a bright and airy twin room with one bed tucked neatly under the eaves. Both rooms have soft bed linen, cosy throws and extra cushions to make lazy lie-ins even more temping. The cast iron radiators throughout ensure all rooms are kept lovely and warm. There is a stairgate at the top of the stairs should you wish to keep little ones from venturing up and down the steps … or to stop canine companions from bounding up to the bedrooms.
The newly refurbished family bathroom can also be found upstairs. This spacious room has a gorgeous freestanding roll top tub with a shower overhead. With pretty pink tiles and scalloped wall lights emitting a gentle glow, this is where you’ll want to escape to to relax and unwind. Bubble bath will be waiting for you. There is also an additional WC downstairs.

Dove Cottage boasts two pretty, private seating areas: one to the front of the cottage with a BBQ for al fresco dining, and one a little higher up at the side of the cottage.
While staying on the estate, you’re welcome to explore the wider grounds. Little ones will love playing on the swing tyre and discovering the table tennis table. Do walk up the hill behind the main house and through the woodland to find the secret bench where you can truly admire the estate’s coastal setting.
