Sleeps 17 + 2 cots in 9 bedrooms

This magnificent and very comfortable Visit Wales 4* family home is perfect for large groups and family holidays. It is set in an acre of beautiful wooded gardens and surrounded by a further three acres of shared grounds and scenic farmland, with magnificent views beyond.

Because of the space, guests love that they can share time together and make precious memories. But you can escape for some peace and tranquillity (when needed) too.

Steeped in history

Llanfendigaid House is Grade II* listed by CADW (Welsh Heritage). This is only awarded to buildings of national historic and/or architectural significance. Grade II* is considerably more important than Grade II. Built in the 13th century, the interior has been tastefully renovated to retain its character. With panelled walls, antiques, fine family portraits and memorabilia collected during 200 years of global travels, the main house is truly fascinating. The history of the house and family is documented for you to read during your stay.

Spacious & well-equipped

Llanfendigaid is spacious and warm, with oil central heating and ultra-fast broadband throughout. It has the perfect set up for large groups with ages spanning the generations. With two reception rooms, one lounge has a TV with FreeSat and a DVD player, the other has a good collection of books to peruse. Both rooms have ample comfortable seating and a woodburning stove. So adults can relax and chat in one room whilst the children are entertained in the other.

There is plenty of space for all guests to eat together in the dining room, including 2 x highchairs for little ones. You can even sound the gong to gather everyone at mealtimes (children love this job). The fully-equipped kitchen can cater for large groups. It features an Eco-Range pressure jet oil fired cooked – which looks like an Aga but works much better! Llanfendigaid House also has a microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer, washing machine and stereo.

There are 9 bedrooms – 4 x Super King, 1 x standard double, 3 x twin rooms, 1 single bedroom and 2 cots (one with its own room).

Overall, the impressive holiday accommodation has everything you need to enjoy your stay. There are two family bathrooms and 3 separate WCs.

Relax and rejuvenate

All the beds have luxury, quality bed linen, perfect for a comfortable night’s sleep. You’ll wake to birdsong and the sound of the sea, and leave us feeling invigorated and ready to face the real world again.

During warmer months, enjoy evenings sitting outside in the privacy of your own garden. There is a spectacular BBQ and outdoor eating area. So whilst the designated cook/s create a feast on the barbecue, the rest of you can sit back, relax and take in the views. Children love playing on the swing tyre and exploring the grounds.

Guests have shared use of our 28’x 14’ indoor heated swimming pool and table-tennis (available in another outbuilding), so you might make some friends whilst you’re here. Especially popular with children and younger guests, it’s lots of fun when it’s raining or after a day exploring the area.

Llanfendigaid has ample parking. Sorry but pets are not accepted at this property.

Covid-19 Update

We are now delighted to tell you that we have re-opened though with some restrictions as per Welsh Assembly Government instructions here:

New bookings for dates after 1st August 2020 are protected

We have implemented a flexible cancellation policy  for new bookings that will allow you to cancel for up to 2 full days before the start of your holiday and get a full refund. This does not cover you for the last 2 days before your arrival so we still recommend that you get UK travel insurance (just in case you were unable to travel at the last minute for health reasons for example) but it does give you peace of mind and you can book with confidence
