Nestled in the rolling countryside of Snowdonia National Park and a short walk from the stunning Welsh coastline, the historic Llanfendigaid House is a perfect backdrop for your family gathering or group get-together.
An elegant Grade II listed retreat, the grand but very welcoming main house has been lovingly maintained, with comfort a top priority. You can read more about the history of the estate and the house hre.
We hope to return soon
The swimming pool was well used by the children in our party, a great addition as the great British weather halted any outdoor pursuits! The beds felt like sleeping on a cloud- didn’t want to get up in the mornings!

We will definitely be returning
The house was beautiful. Great decor and furnishings. So much history.
Amazing surroundings. So peaceful.
The beds were lovely and comfortable.
Swimming pool was perfect for our morning dips.

An extended family gathering
An excellent venue for an extended family gathering. The swimming pool was a real bonus for the more junior family members. We would certainly go again and would recommend the property to others.

Loved the pool
The house was spotlessly clean with the best beds and duvets I've ever slept in. The kids loved the pool and loved playing hide and seek in a house with so many hiding places.
Will definitely return was just amazing - the house is just beautiful.

What a fantastic house, full of character, set in a peaceful surrounding, Seaview on one side of the house and countryside on the other.

Facilities
Indulge & Relax
There’s a host of facilities to enjoy during your stay such as the luxury indoor heated swimming pool, an outdoor table tennis table and private woodland, as well as an abundance of adventures to be had in West Wales.
With lots of dog friendly places to explore nearby, canine companions will have a tail-wagging time accompanying you on your trip. Please read the dog policy in advance.
Entering the Grade II listed Llanfendigaid House via the front door, you find yourself in the elegant entrance hall. The two main reception rooms lie on either side; with comfy sofas, plump cushions and wood burning stoves, these rooms are meant to be relaxed in – whether you want a quiet moment to yourself or to meet up all together. For entertainment, one room has a TV while the other has an excellent collection of books to browse. You’ll find WiFi throughout the house.
Fully equipped with everything you need to rustle up a feast, Llanfendigaid House has fantastic kitchen facilities spread between the main kitchen and the adjoining utility room. There’s plenty of work top and cupboard space and an additional island in the middle of the room. The chefs amongst the group will appreciate the large range cooker, which looks like an Aga but functions far better. Or there’s a microwave if anyone is in a hurry.
The neighbouring dining room has plenty of space for everyone to gather around the roomy table. Children will love sounding the gong when dinner is ready.
There are nine beautiful bedrooms at Llanfendigaid House: four kings, one double, two twins, one triple and one single room. Traditionally decorated with wood panelling or pretty wallpaper, many of the rooms have views of the surrounding countryside. Leave the windows open if you’d like to wake up to birdsong and the sound of the sea.
Llanfendigaid House has three family bathrooms: one with a separate bath and shower, one with a freestanding cast iron bath, and one with a walk-in shower. There are four further WCs: one on the ground floor, two on the first floor and one on the top floor.
